Uses for Plastic Bowls from Frozen MealsSharn from Bullaburra, Australia Feedback About This Post:RE: Uses for Plastic Bowls from Frozen Meals
Use them when you take your lunch to work or when you are making a snack or eating leftovers and have to microwave them. They also make great veggie trays with their separate compartments they are idea for veggies and dip or dressing. Also for nachos and cheese and chili dip. The sky's the limit. I do recycle mine, when I get them, but first I re-use them. The pre-made meals are useful for two reasons. The first, of course, is that one has a meal that one doesn't have to spend a lot of time preparing. The less obvious use is as a portion control guide. They're the size of the meals we should be eating. Prepare a meal -- say, a roast with vegetables -- and put it into the old Lean Cuisine dish. Half of the dish should be taken up with a green vegetable, one-quarter with starch (corn, beans, potatoes, rice, whole-grain pasta), and one-quarter with protein (meat, fowl, fish, dairy). It's good to use these for meals taken to work or school, but it's not a bad idea to use them for home meals too, especially if you're trying to lose some weight and are having issues with portion control. Post By Mark Zucker (Guest Post) RE: Uses for Plastic Bowls from Frozen MealsI have kids around all the time and they like to eat in the screen house. I make up lunches that can be eatten outside and off they go. Keeps my dishes in the house and no worry if they don't come back. The plates not the kids, some of them are not mine so could not lose. Also great for serving veggies or what ever at cook outs or Picnics Post by Gramie3 RE: Uses for Plastic Bowls from Frozen MealsThey make good plant saucers Post By Linda (Guest Post) RE: Uses for Plastic Bowls from Frozen MealsSnack bowls for kids to take outside or by the pool. They also make good disposable dog/cat bowls. (I use mine to feed stray cats.) Use them for flour and egg wash when breading small food to fry (chicken strips, mushrooms, onion rings, etc.). Post by thriftyboo RE: Uses for Plastic Bowls from Frozen MealsWe use them for craft projects with the kids. I wash them and then dole out the supplies to each child in a few containers. I also use them to organize sample packages of toiletries in the linen closet. They slide nicely and can fit into small spaces. Also you might try using them to start seeds or under plants to catch water. Enjoy! Post By boobertandweenie (Guest Post) |
