I am considering getting this gadgett called Toiletta. Heres the

about it.. this long arm is flexible and reached right down in there and removes things that get lodged in there. Its low priced too,

Did you try a plunger? Pour a bucket of water in the toilet bowl, push the plunger just until you have suction, and then pull back hard to loosen the sponge. I wish you luck.

Just to clarify the brush thing is NOT visible and I have tried to reach it with a toilet "auger", coat hanger wire, and my hand. I think i'm going to take the toilet off and try to reach it.

No suggestions, this just made me laugh and remember the time my son got a Fisher Price "Little People" stuck in the goose neck of our toilet. It was hopelessly stuck and no amount of "snaking" the toilet would work. We finally had to remove the toilet and use a hammer to break the toilet open. There it was that dreaded "Little Person" staring up at us! haha. Thank goodness we were able to find a replacement toilet for only $50! And, it was low-flow, which has saved us money in the long run!

They is a "gadget" you can buy at the home improvement stores thats inexpensive. I visited my daughter once when her toilet was stopped up and she could not afford a plummer. I pulled out a toy in a matter of minutes. Everyone with kids should have one of these things. They save a lot of plummer bills.

What about trying a pair of tongs to get the sponge out? Or bend a small hook on the end of a wire coat hanger and try to grab the edge of the head of the sponge?
