I tried a tip that really works to get rid of hard-to-remove tags. WD40 did the trick. I read about it from their newsletter. I tried nail polish remover first with little success. Fished out my spray can of WD40, gave both tags a shot, let sit for about 5 to 10 minutes and -- presto -- gunk gone with ease.By HAC from CT

Try the hair dryer too. It will heat up the sticker glue. Then when I have stickers on my books, I heat them up, peel them off and the residual sticky stuff I remove with nail polish remover. Works every time.

I agree with the above statement AS I TOO KNOW FOR A FACT that WD40 will take off those pesky price stickers left on many things!

goo gone works miracles, as well. i have used it on dinner plates and movie cases, among many other things. i wouldnt recommend it on wood or something easy to damage, because i use a razor blade after soaking in goo gone for about 5-10 minutes. it comes off perfectly leaving no damages.
