Mock "Ice Cream" Blizzard

To make a "mock" ice cream blizzard tasting treat, take equal parts of softened cream cheese and cool whip. (8 oz. + 8 oz. or 16 oz. +16 oz. etc.) Blend this well together with electric mixer then add your favorite treats to taste. We like crushed butterfinger candy bars (for the 16 oz. version we use about 2 mini bars) or crushed oreos. Also try tropical fruits and nuts. Chocolate cherries, etc. Ideas are endless. This is a very rich tasting treat that's almost like a mousse or pudding, that can be chilled or frozen for a bit.

You could also use the sugar free Cool Whip, which I just discovered this past Saturday.

RE: Mock "Ice Cream" Blizzard

This sounds like a winner... something i'd actually make... use non-fat cream cheese and Cool Whip to save a lot of calories... which you can 'spend' on the crushed candy :o)

RE: Mock "Ice Cream" Blizzard

The recipe should have said 20 mini candy bars-sorry for the typo... Melanie (chocoholic here 2 would never do:)
