Use Tee-shirts For Staining Furniture

We have a friend who works in a cabinetry shop. He says old cotton tee-shirts make the best rags for staining furniture. Cotton holds the stain longer than cloth made from other materials.

RE: Use Tee-shirts For Staining Furniture

Old cotton T-shirts work best for numerous projects around the house. We can't seem to get enough of them at our house. I absolutely love them for cleaning, dusting, washing, polishing, scrubbing, and now staining too! I've also found that they make the best rag rugs.

I've also found that using plain old kitchen sponges (the kind that normally have a scourer attached to one side) are great for applying stain also! Always work a treat for me :)
Thanks for sharing.
