Christmas Crafts for Kids
We have a budget to follow and the cost needs to be minimal and yet fun stuff. The event will take place on December 10. The number of kids is not yet known. Would appreciate some help with suggestions. Thank you in advance for your help.

Those fun foam shapes come in a big container at walmart the kids of all ages could use them to make door hangers or their own christmas cards. A big bucket costs ten dollars and have a huge amount in them. And even if all persons arent christians they love to get together outside of work environment and catch up with everyones families.

Gee, I hope every one in that company is a Christian, unless the company is a church or a religious organization. Rather presumptious to coopt the employees for one holiday, then expect the kids to go along, too. The age range is rather wide, unless the teenagers' activity is changing diapers, wiping candy cane drool, keeping eyes, stars and such out of little mouths.
Does "other circumstances" mean they will be dressed up? Perhaps crafts are not ideal. Maybe singing, a physical activity like folk dancing or group games, and a play ring for the toddlers would work better.

if you have plastic eggs left from easter, heat a large needle and melt a hole in each end run a folded piece of yarn through tie at the botom close the egg and tie with a loop at the top. you can get bags of ribbon at walmart, add beads, glitter, sets old pieces of broken jewerly. these make beautiful orniments that last for years.

Go to www.orientaltrading.com ..they have tons of craft kits...everything comes in the kit and they usually make 12 to a kit.

Using a brown paper lunch bag, glue on either jiggly eyes or construction paper eyes or draw on the bag for eyes (with markers). Cut antlers (trace a pattern) out of used file folders. Leave them manila or color as desired. Maybe decorate them with stick on stars? Either fold over the top of the bag(to the back) and attach the antlers to the top or leave the bag oven and attach the antlers to the top edge. It could be used a s a gift bag. Maybe you'll want to make some as goodie bags.

Cute reindeer candy canes are easy-Use a candy cane, fold a pipe cleaner in half and wrap it around the hook of ther candy cane, then twist or bend it to resmble antlers. On the curved part of the cane glue 2 jiggle eyes and a red pom pom nose. Use tacky glue.

How about making candy canes out of tri-beads and pipe cleaners. Alternate red or green beads with white or clear. Then shape into a cane. Add a string as a hanger. Pretty simple and inexpensive too!
