Graduation Party: "Art Exhibit" ThemeLK from Syracuse, NY Feedback About This Post:RE: Graduation Party: "Art Exhibit" Theme
You could gather some of your daughter's art work she's created throughout the years and frame them on a wall or divider covered w/ a black sheet. You could also copy some of them and use for menus or the invitations, etc. Post by apreju RE: Graduation Party: "Art Exhibit" ThemeBut some vintage art books, garage sales ebay etc. Butcher paper on tables and markers. Have fun. Post By Enter your name. (Guest Post) RE: Graduation Party: "Art Exhibit" ThemeUse tiny picture frames at each place setting with their name as the picture. In the center of the table, have the menu in a frame set on a small easel. You could name your menu items things like...Monet sorbet, da Vinci salad, van Gogh style potatoes (since he did a famous painting called The Potatoe Eaters)...you get the idea. It doesn't have to really be anything different than what you decided it's name should be. Just for fun. A fun game would be something like can you name the artist.....Have it be 10 questions relating to the art world - i.e. What famous artist cut off his ear?______ Here is a site that tells you information on different artists all in alphabetical order. Hope this helps and have fun with it. http://arthistory.about.com/library/artists/blnames_main.htm Post by themuffster RE: Graduation Party: "Art Exhibit" Theme
Why not decorate the tables in different art genres; impressionism, realist, cubist, etc. Get post cards, etc. Post by Tigger1971 RE: Graduation Party: "Art Exhibit" Theme
you could use a clear table liner and pour paint on it allowing it to run down in one direction. Add a second color of paint and do the same. From the other end you can continue the flow as the paint works its way toward the middle and down. You can add more colors to it and use acrylic paint as it dries quickly and then turn it over so you can see the paint colors show through. I would first lay a solid white under this so the colors are seen better with no table pattern peeking through open spaces where there's no paint, but only white. If you choose colors of paint that go with a sunset that would be pretty as the colors mix and drizzle over each other. Just lay flat to dry and don't overhandle the plastic liner. Post by Lorelei |
