Condensation On Windows

In our new home we have a large, older window in the front room that gets so much condensation on it that it runs down and soaks the windowsill. It seems to have caused mildew in the window glazing/caulking.

How can I prevent or minimize the condensation problem? How can I clean the caulking?

Give everything a good bleach wash then apply clear plastic on the inside so the warm inside air doesn't touch the cold glass. There are inexpensive kits for this.

I'm not sure what to do about it, but don't let it go unfixed. And don't let that mold go at all. In my brother and SIL's family 3 family members got pneumonia from an apartment where the windows did that, and one of them was a child with a weaker immune system. Call the builder, don't give up until someone tells you what to do. Sounds like too much insulation for the amount of venting you have.
