Replacement Wax For A Paraffin Spa

I have a paraffin spa for treating hands. The wax seems to have something in addition to paraffin which makes to wax softer and strips off easier. Anyone know what this is and how much to use per pound of paraffin?

You can still buy the replacement wax for your units at any Sally Beauty supple. A lot cheaper to make your own though. I am a cosmotologist and will tell you, girls, just make your own. Use any oil that makes your skin happy baby oil with the lavender scent is a nice touch. k.d.

My husband insisted it was just straight paraffin. I felt oil in it. I see I am not alone on this. Is there any proof otherwise for this ingredient of oil? Thanks

I make my Paraffin
4LB Wax
1 Cup mineral oil wintergreen (olive oil works)
Melt wax
Stir in mineral oil

Who ever posted this is brilliant. I figured it was some kind of oil but all the other websights just said to use paraffin. I can't find the replacement anymore and my Paraffin spa is my lifeline in winter.

Yea!!!

The extra ingredient is mineral oil. Very cheap at the drugstore. You can add about 1/4 to 1 cup to your paraffin spa, depending on the size of the tank, and the amount you like. I add more in winter to moisturize extra dry skin.
