Google Products Before You Buy

Before you buy a product, go to your favorite search engine and type the product, model and "reviews" into the search engine to see what others thought of the products. For example, if you are thinking of buying an iPod Nano, type in "iPod Nano Reviews". Look for review sites that feature reviews and feedback from real people.

RE: Google Products Before You Buy

This is a top notch tip to save you a disastrous purchase.

You don't have to follow any advice you read, but now you know how to look at a product.

I was going to buy a tabletop icemaker. Thank goodness I checked out the reviews. These ice makers tend to stop just after the warranty exxpires (how do they know?), and only make white, not clear, ice anyway.
