Tea Party Ideas for 6 Year Old

Having a tea party for a bunch of little girls will be great! Well I'm a 13 year old girl planning my little step sisters party who is turning six (also with the help of my mom and her dad.) Well to start off what I will do is first is make invitations on the computer of small tea cups and if you don't have a computer that is perfectly fine! You can just cut out tea cups from pink or yellow construction paper. Then I'll send them out. At first my little step sister wanted a party of high school musical but we were having trouble decorating a highschool musical party so we decided just to do a regular swimming party, but then when I gave her the idea of face painting, nail painting, and make up she was sooo excited! I also mentioned a tea party and she was even more excited.

So the plan I came up with was to have a swimming/tea/fashion party. The plan her and myself came up with was for all the girls to get there, jump in the pool, swim up a appetite and dry off. Then they sit at there tea table and wait to be served. On there menu will be tea cups filled with lemonade, plates with triangular sandwiches, and a bowl with fruit. After that for desert, they'll have a plate with chocolate chip cookies. When they're all done eating that's when the real fun starts!

Since we couldn't find any face painting people or make up artists were we live, I decided since I went to modeling school I was experienced with make up and paint and beauty. So I decided I'd do the make up face paint and nail ainting! After they were all fashioned up we would give them a crown with a fashion ring. After they were done putting on there crown and ring, we'd take pictures and save them and glue them on to a scrap book for memories to all the little girls.(Polaroid camera) after pictures were done we'd give them a goodie bag with candy and lip-gloss and we'd thank them for coming to a great party!

I'm planning a tea party for my 3 year old daughter. This is something I wished my mother had done for me. I'm hoping it goes off well. I'm taking white lunch bags and making all the girls a favor bag. You take the white bag and fold the top like a tea bag staple it add a string and a tag with the girls name on it. I also have asked everyone to bring digital cameras so I can load all the pic taken through out the day, and plan on making all the girls their own keep sake cd.

When i turned 7 i had a t-party we drank lemonade in a tea cup and had a "fashion parade" my mom put on lipstick and nail polish for all of us! we ate cucumber sandwiches and played musical chairs. we each got 1 pair of white gloves and decorated them with fabric markers and then put them on with our fancy dresses! hope this helped!

A Very Merry UnBirthday!

My Mom used to throw tea parties for me when I was little, but the only one that vividly sticks out in my memory was my "Alice in Wonderland, A Very Merry Birthday Party". It was for my 5th birthday. Each girl was to wear their favorite party dress. Mom took two old white sheets and made Alice-style aprons for us all to wear. She bought all mis-matched tea cups, saucers, pots and sugar server and some bright pastel paints and all of us girls got to paint our tea service. We played musical chairs by playing a recording of "A very Merry Unbirthday" from the movie and laughed the whole way through. The thing is I can't remember one single girl who came to that party, but I remember every detail my Mother put into it. Including the "Cakes". She baked cupcakes in a muffin tin for the bottom and then regular cupcakes for the second teir and decorated in pastel frosting she made herself from vanilla with food coloring. And she put a sparkler in each little cake for the guests. When my daughter is old enough I'll throw her first tea party as well, I already bought the tea service to paint. Good luck.

One other idea was to make it a Strawberry Shortcake party.You could dress the tables in Pink and Red and have a Strawberry Shortcake cake made or do the cupcake thing with Strawberry Shortcake decorations. Food could include little strawberry jelly sandwiches and chocolate dipped strawberry's Don't forget the other characters They can be used for food ideas also. You can find Strawberry Shortcake graphics on the internet for the invitations and have a scavanger hunt looking for plastic strawberries you should be able to get these at any dollar store in thier floral section. I was excited to know your planning a Tea Party for your 6 year old. Because I'm planning one for my daughter who also turns 6 but in March 2005. Here's some ideas I used for my other daughter who I had a Tea Party for about 3 years ago. I bought Tea Pot shape invitations at a local Party Store to set the theme of our Tea Party. I requested only girls/Moms
be invited and for the little girls to of course come in their prettiest dress and bring their favorite stuffed animal as each guess arrived I took a polaroid picture of them and immediately inserted their photo in a scrapbook (plain, I later added all the finishing touches stickers etc...) then they would write a note to the birthday girl underneath their photo. Remember to take pictures of before, during and afters to also add to the scrapbook. As party favors I purchased tea cups/saucers at thrift stores, yard sale etc I hot glued the bottom of the tea cup to the saucer, I then bought teddy bears ( about the same height of the tea cup/saucer) from a craft store (Michael's) bought pearls for a necklace, hat, small flowers, all these were hot glued to the bear then the bear was glued to the saucer and tea cup in a hugging position. Don't forget to add blush to the bears cheeks make it look like a girly girl bear. I hope these ideas are helpful. Have a great Tea Party....

Tea Party Ideas that come to mind (I love tea parties and give them any chance I get) are Raggedy Ann and Andy and Teddy Bear Tea. Lets start with Raggedy Ann and Andy: Do an internet search for Raggedy Ann I am sure that you will find many graphics that could be used for an invitation. There are also many sites that have invitations that you can add your own graphics and wording so all you would have to do is print. Ask each of your guest to bring thier favorite dolly. Now to the decorations Dress the table in a red or blue tablecloth and use empty boxes covered in red and blue check fabric or paper. You could even make this your self with some paint and block. Set Raggedy Ann and Andy on the boxes for your center piece. Any bakery should be able to go along with this theme but my thought is to make cupcakes and decorate with little plastic Raggedy Ann's and Andy's.
Red and Blue Plastic plates and silverware make cleaning up easier. Games that could be played would be to see who could dress Raggedy Ann Blind folded or you could make a pin the hat on Raggedy ann game. Tea Party food is finger food so Peanut butter sandwiches cut in small pieces or tuna or chicken would work to. Graham crackers spread with peanut butter or jelly work nicely too. Celery filled with any of the cream cheese and raisins are great. I would offer a nice fruit tea or hot chocolate. Children can sometimes be picky. Paper dolls that can be found on the internet to color and cut out would be a nice activity. Now to the Teddy Bear Tea I would cut out invitations that look like little bears and invite your guest to bring thier favorite bear to tea. Decorate the table with any color you like using Teddy Bears as the center piece. You could make cupcakes and decorate with bears or Wilton does make a bear shaped pan to make a cake. You could let the children decorate thier own bears that you print off the internet. All you would need would be bits and pieces of lace some sparkles like gems and glitter or glitter pens. As a party favor they all could take home a small bear bought from the hobby store they run about .99cents a piece that you could glue a card to them saying " Your Daughter's name tea pary and the date. You could play the game hot patoto with a beanie baby bear. Or pin the bow on the bear. Hope this helps.
