Scooter is an 8 month old, full blooded Chihuahua. Toby is 1 1/2 yrs old and is a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher mix.
We got Scooter from a breeder and Toby from a friend. They play so well together and love chasing squirrels until we put up a fence. They love playing tug-of war with their toys.

Chihuahua/Min Pin
This is Fergie ~ She is 18 weeks old =) Mom is a min/pin. Dad is a chi. She has the cutest lil chi face but is tall and lengthy like a min/pin. Fergilicious loves to cuddle and nuzzle like a chi but is also very spunky and robust like a min pin! She is a blast to have around! I would def. reccomend this mix to anyone looking for a small dog. Ferg is 6 1/2 lbs. and should grow to about 8 ..

I rescued my puppy Jill from a friend. The people my friend got her from had abused Jill badly. From what we can tell she is chihuahua, but I think she is mix with something like a terrier or a min pin but we are not sure...how do you tell the difference?

Hi, this may be the wrong place to post this, but I am hoping somebody may be able to identify my dog's breed mix -I do not think he's pure Chi, I suspect instead a ChiPin mix. I got my surviving best friend (my Yorkie has passed) "Geppi" while living in Korea; ALL "chihuahas" in Korea are this same exact color, body style, etc. and relatively short haired. What do you think?
Any help appreciated!

Jean....can't believe this, but they look exactly like my 2, as you can tell by their pic. Their names are Pinto Bean (male Chia) and Gracie Bay (ChiPin female). We tried to keep them apart, but now we think Gracie may be with puppies, probably due by the end of Feb. 2006.

Our Chipin is beautiful and smart. She loves to play with our cat. Her name is Aspen. She is very muscular as you can see. She is also very spoiled. She is 14 months old. She can dance, sit pretty, sit, speak, play the wounded dog, walk on back paws, sneeze on command and jump over 4 feet. Her eyes are the same color as her fur.

My minpin/chihuahua loves to play with my german shepard, when shes awake she has a ton of energy and she loves to run. they are great dogs, i take mine everywhere with me.

We just got a 4 month old chi min pin - she is adorable! I had a chi as a child and loved her, and our chi min pin looks so much like her it's unbelievable. And she is a sweetie too. Since you have both a chi and a chi min pin, what can you tell me about the differences in them? I have been looking online for pics to compare and your two look almost identical. I think Contessa will be more chi size but with min pin ears perhaps. Eyes it's hard to tell. Not sure about the nose and other body structure. Thanks for any info!

They are very cute. I know from experience that miniture pinschers are alot to handle. I visited the pound and it seems like they have a never ending supply of energy. the minuature pinscher was jumping all over the place!! Very cute pic. I'm sure they're the best of friends. :-)

I own a Min Pin (12) super friendly to both people and other dogs...he has a fenced yard (front and back...lot is 60x120 so he gets plenty of exercise.
Would love to have another and thought I might get a mixed breed this seems like the perfect dog.
