Removing Asphalt from Jeans

My husband works with asphalt and he has it all over his jeans. How can i remove it? Please help? I'm a mother of 5 kids. Thank you. - texas

I use a product called "De-Solv-it" It is biodegradable, 100% organic, citrus solution. I use it to remove asphalt on my car. It can be used on any surface, including fabric. You can purchase it at Wal-Mart.

My husband works on hot tar roofs and gets tar on his clothes. He just buys sweats and pants just for work and there is a laundrymat that does clothes by the pound and they get all the tar off. For just spots on other clothes, floor, etc. I use lighter fluid on a cloth or orange spray works too. Hope this helps.
