Removing Fingernail Polish from a Laminate Floor

Does anyone have suggestions on how to remove fingernail polish from laminate hardwood floor? It is an engineered floating floor, which means it has a very thin layer of real wood. There is a lot to remove. I dont want to damage the finish. I have seen some websites that say it is OK to use fingernail polish remover but I am not sure.

Hi Martin,
This is from the Mohawk laminate flooring site:

To remove nail polish:
"Denatured alcohol or Acetone (nail polish remover), then warm water and a soap-free household cleaner"
