Pen Around Your Neck for Shopping

I purchased a special pen which attaches to a lanyard around my neck. I bring it with me when I go shopping to make sure I (a.) cross everything off my list and therefore do not miss anything, and (b.) never lose my pen.

For Astoria 708: If you carry a checkbook in your purse, get a checkbook cover, and a pad which fits it. Put your checkbook and register in, and then put the pad in too. Use the pad for your lists. Since I always carry my checkbook, I always have my list. I bought my checkbook cover in a thrift store for $1, and my paper 3/$1 at the $store, so it was not expensive. When I use up the boughten pads, I will make my own from recycled junk mail etc.

Any tips on how to not lose your LIST?? My mom and I always have that problem.

I have one of those pen "necklaces" and I originally got to use when I did craft fairs....it makes sense to use one when shopping....no digging for your pen ea time you want to cross an item off your list. However, if you find yourself w/o a pen another way to indicate what you've already found on your list is to just tear the paper through that item....just start from the edge and tear straight through that item written on your list. You then know you've already found it and just look for the items that aren't torn. That was an idea my husband thought of and it's pretty good, easy too!

Should you ever lose that pen, or it runs out of ink, check with a local dollar shop or Walmart for a replacement lanyard pen. You're sure to find a bargain there. :)

many companies give out pens on ropes. i work at a drs office and drug companies give these pens to the office by the boatload. i have several yes they are great.
