Candle Wax on Wood FurnitureSusan from Danville. KY Feedback About This Post:RE: Candle Wax on Wood FurnitureTotally works! I used a blow dryer to warm the wax and a plastic card. Didn't haveto scrape really hard to get wax up. It lifted up in big chunks or sections. Saved me from spending money buying a professional wax remover! Post By D (Guest Post) RE: Candle Wax on Wood FurnitureSince it wasn't wax that needed to come off but the stain it left behind the suggestion about the magic eraser & alcohol worked! Thank you so much! Be ready for the finish to come off as well though. Clear varnish helped us to fix that problem. Post By Kerri (Guest Post) candle wax from inside glassI have a couple of all glass hurricane lamps and sometimes when I blow out the candles the wax splashes onto the inside of the lamp. To remove it i take out the candle and stuff the inside of the glass lamp with clean old rags or old towels. (important not to have any oil or flammable liquids on the rags). Then I put them in the microwave for about a minute and a half. The wax adheres to the rags and leaves the inside of the lamps clean. Post By jeremy (Guest Post) RE: Candle Wax on Wood FurnitureI spilled red candle wax all over a wood table! I ironed over a paper towel and it come out! I had to repeat this a few times but it works! I have had good luck with this 'trick' removing candle wax from carpet and wooden furniture. Post by metroplex RE: Candle Wax on Wood Furniture
My stain was a red/purple candle dye on a light oak table and I tried several things that didn't work before this did: Post By Enter your name. (Guest Post) RE: Candle Wax on Wood Furniture
Melt it carefully. In the old days, they let the furniture sit outside in the sun. That would probably do the trick. Post By DIEM (Guest Post) |
