Making a Fabric Wastebasket CoverMargaret from Swansea Feedback About This Post:RE: Making a Fabric Wastebasket Cover
Thank you very much for your tips, I have now successfully made the cover, bless the respondents who helped. Post by dogxtc RE: Making a Fabric Wastebasket CoverMargaret, if you want to use fabric that is gathered, you could make a large tube with casings at the ends (for top and bottom) and just slip it on the basket. if you want it to fit snugly, then why don't you trace it out as you would for a lampshade. Mark a beginning point at the top and bottom edges of the basket. Then lay it on its side on large newspaper or tissue and trace the edges as you roll the basket starting and ending on the marks you had made. Connect the top and bottom lines vertically for side seams. You can then lay this down on contact paper is that is what you're using. But if you're using fabric don't forget to make seam allowances to turn under and then stitch or glue in place. I hope this helped! Post by Eileen Celeste RE: Making a Fabric Wastebasket Cover
