Getting Mechanical Grease Off a SuitcaseMiffed in Denver Feedback About This Post:RE: Recipes for Feeding People at a Homeless ShelterA good one is cheeseburger macaroni. 50 people: approx 12 lbs of hamburger, 6 lbs of macaroni, approx 6 lbs of velveeta or generic like cheese, approx 1 to 2 lbs butter and half gallon of milk. Salt and pepper. You make it to taste, there is no wrong way to make it. You can add onions, mushrooms, you can make it stove top or bake it with a crushed cracker topping. Our kids were sooo picky we just made it straight. Very filling meal. Post by Nelliebell RE: Recipes for Feeding People at a Homeless Shelter
A great casserole that I have had consists of: a layer of cooked turkey in the casserole dish, some veggies of your choice, the gravy poured over and this is all topped with Biscuit mix that has cranberries added to it. Everything is cooked already except the biscuit topping, so it's just a matter of heating it through and getting the biscuits fluffy and golden. Post by Sundays Child RE: Recipes for Feeding People at a Homeless ShelterThis can be assembled on site. Just don't forget the can opener. Take one or 2 very large cans of whole kernel corn, a pack or two of frozen onion and bell pepper seasoning mix, some parsley and some italian dressing. Put the corn and seasonings in a large bowl, mix and pour the salad dressing over it. Post by Frazzled Leslie RE: Recipes for Feeding People at a Homeless ShelterTalking that last recipe over with my mom we both agreed on the following. Add cooked chicken, chopped up (cooked in like a slow cooker or whatever is easier for you) This would increase serving portions. Put it with the sausage when you put the casserole together. This is a good dinner by itself but would make a good breakfast meal as well. Post by Suntydt RE: Recipes for Feeding People at a Homeless Shelter
Here is a recipe for 96 Post by Suntydt RE: Recipes for Feeding People at a Homeless ShelterAs a post note, I did put the recipe for the turkey casserole on my blog at www.pcheflm.blogspot.com. I hope you enjoy it! The seniors loved it! Post by pcheflm RE: Recipes for Feeding People at a Homeless Shelter
I cook for about 25-30 people at my local senior center. This month I made a turkey bake. I layered stuffing on the bottom, topped with green beans, sliced turkey, gravey and then garlic/cheese mashed potatoes sprinkled with additional cheddar cheese. Then I baked it at 400 degrees until the cheese was browned. Post by pcheflm RE: Getting Mechanical Grease Off a Suitcase
Did you find any of these products to work. I just bought a brand new suitcase and it has huge gobs of mechanical grease I would say from the plane all over it. ?What shoulf I use that wont spread it around? Thanks Post By Michelle (Guest Post) RE: Getting Mechanical Grease Off a SuitcaseFor years my son worked on cars, getting grease all over his clothes and I had a hard time getting it out[some never came out] but one day I discovered the mechanics hand cleaner so I used it on his jeans and all the grease disolved so fast I couldn't believe it.I only used a dab and with an old tooth brush,I brushed it in and laundered as usual.now 42 years later,He's still using it to clean his clothes with.we used the pink or orange hand cleaner so you might try it on your suitcase and rinse with a damp rag . Hi. I wanted to suggest that you try the Watkins Stain Pro Grease, Tar & Gum Remover. I haven't personally used this product yet but have read rave reviews about its effectiveness on motor oil, grease, and tar on clothing and carpeting as well. The description says that it is formulated to remove tar, grease, motor oil and adhesives from clothing, upholstery and hard surfaces such as formica, linoleum, ceramics and porcelain. I have to say that all of the Watkins cleaning products I have used are absolutely great and work as described. The other reason I am recommending it is because Watkins backs all their products with a 100% money-back guarantee. If it doesn't work for you, you get all your money back, so you really don't have anything to lose.
