I started returning the top section of the credit card mailing back to the people who sent it. I used their stamped envelope to do this. I was careful to shred the section that needed to be filled out. It took several weeks, but the mailings have stopped.

I also use their envolpe and mail everything back to them inside it. Make them pay the postage for their own junk. It really works. I only get one or so junk mail requests a month now.

Just stuff everything back in the stamped envelope.
These companies only have to pay postage on these envelopes if they are actually mailed back.
After I did this I got a couple more, but they have stopped now.
This works for all junk mail, even if you don't want them to know who is sending them, stuff it with your junk mail just make sure there is nothing with your name on it.

You can always write on the offer "REMOVE ME FROM YOUR MAILING LIST" and stick it into the postage paid envelope it comes along with and mail it back...or call the company that sent it and tell them that you want to be removed and if one more letter comes you will take action...companies HAVE to remove your name if you request it...

I was going to suggest the optout site but see it has already been offered. Another alternative that will give you extreme satisfaction and eventually work just as well is to open their offers, use a magic marker to scrawl NO over their front page, put every bit of it back into their provided self mailer (including the outer envelope you had to open), add in a few extra envelopes, seal and mail back to them at their expense. It does take time for them to get the idea, but it works, and I felt wonderful using this method! LOL
