Make Hand Cream As A Gift

A very inexpensive hand cream can be made with this recipe. I never buy any other kind anymore since I have made this. All items can be bought at the $1 store. Mix together with electric mixer, the following.
  • 1 - 15 oz. bottle baby lotion
  • 1 - 8 oz. jar of petroleum jelly
  • 2 - 8 oz. jars of vitamin E cream
Fill clear jars, These make wonderful gifts! I make it for all my friends and they love it!

Good idea. I made a white hand cream years ago with soybean oil and something else, heated over the stove. It came out really well, but then I lost the recipe. I like this one because you don't have to use the stove.

Sounds wonderful!! I am going to try this recipe. I will try to mix it with a fork, as I don't want to ruin my mixer.

Can you add essetial oils to give it different smells?

RE: Make Hand Cream As A Gift

Sounds wonderful, but it should be noted that combining this with a mixer, unless it is one that you DO NOT use for food prep, would not be the best or safest idea, as baby lotion and vitamin E cream especially are not meant to be taken internally and might end up there if you used your kitchen mixer. I would get a cheapie somewhere and use it ONLY for the preparation of this hand cream or other cosmetics.
