RE: Cheap Wood Filler For Damaged Wood Furniture

Jill,

I love this idea! We live in a 75-year-old house that has wood floors with extensive termite damage. We are fixing it up, but don't have much money. I've often wondered if mixing sawdust with glue would work. I've only had one concern with this problem and perhaps you can answer it for me. Can you tell me the name of the wood glue you used? I ask because I didn't think glue would stain. That's why Master Carpenter Norm Abrams (from This Old House) always says make sure you wipe off all traces of glue while it's still wet.

Thanks so much,
Kathy
