Homemade Drip Irrigation HoseBy Fisher Feedback About This Post:RE: Homemade Drip Irrigation HoseWhy the cloth strips? Post by Kate Frost RE: Homemade Drip Irrigation HoseThe cloth strips keep the holes from plugging up with dirt and debris. Plus they help distribute the water evenly as opposed to flow directly out of the punched holes. Post by SieraStar RE: Homemade Drip Irrigation HoseI'd use a drill with a small bit. I've done this before & it will run easier with the holes drilled. It doesn't drill a hole exactly, but the rubber or plastic of the hose will close somewhat after drilling. It's easier to do than punching a hole with some tool. Post by c t RE: Homemade Drip Irrigation HoseMay I ask what the purpose is of tying the cloth strips around the hose? Thanks.
