Permanent Marker on White Leather Furniture

I got permanent marker on my new white leather chairs! There are two small dots around 1 cm x 1 cm. I tried cleaning them with detergent straight away and they've faded. I've tried hairspray as well. My parents are going to kill me. Please help!

OMG! New white leather couch and a 3y.o. with a permanent red marker pen! It had been marked with dots, dashes and a long streak about 25cm long! I used perfume sparingly and massaged it in with my finger and wiped of with a damp cloth as advised by "Donna" this worked quite well after a couple of applications, however on one of the really stubborn spots it took the colour out a little bit. I will try rubbing alcohol if there is a next time (fingers crossed).

My teenage son accidentally got permanent biro ink on my white leather couch. The rubbing alcohol just completely removed it. It was so easy - just wiped off! I can't thank you enough.

Humm. Well that solved may problem. Rubbing alcohol. I have used bleach, it help to reduce the stain, and yes nail polish remover, not much it did.
Rubbing alcohol is pretty much the best bet for everything.

RE: Permanent Marker on microwave

I got Sharpie marker on the white frame of the microwave. How do I get it out? Tried alcohol, ammonia, dry cleaning fluid, spot shot, hydrogen peroxide, f. n. polish remover, bonami and it hasn't budged.

My daughter got marker on new leather dining chair. I tried rubbing vodka into it but no good. Any ideas for products you can get in Ireland/Britain?

I used nail polish remover, that was a big no no!! It took the color out of the leather chair and it looks terrible! So do not use nail polish remover on leather!

Ah! I got pink sharpie on my white band hat. I put it in my hair when I'm bored and I totally forgot I had to march that night. The band moms are going to kill me, how do I get it out?

I just randomly tried rubbing alcohol and it worked perfectly. I didn't have the marker directly on the couch though, just smudged from my skin. It definetly worked though! Don't think I would try it on colored leather though.

Purell didn't work, tried it on my white leather with the pink ink, didn't even fade it. Leather is truely Not a chalk baord.

STOP! Do not put finger nail polish remover on your leather!!!!! You will remove the color and the ink... If you do try it check an unseen spot first... You can also have the area re dyed by a leather repair company... check this sight out about ink on leather

Try waterless hand cleaner, like Purell. I got the permanent marker off a classroom white board that way. Try a small area first, to be sure that it doesn't damage the leather. Also, remember that leather is porous and will absorb just about everything, including ink. I also recommend calling a dry cleaner that works with cleaning leather. They might be able to give you some help.
