Cleaning With a Hand-held Steam Cleaner

I just purchased a hand-held steam cleaner (Scuunci that we've all seen on the infomercials) that I love. However, I was quite disappointed with the manual. I was hoping for a list of ideas for steam cleaning. I certainly know to clean around the faucets of the sink, under the rim of the toilet, etc., but I'm curious if any of you have come up with other creative uses for steam cleaners.

Thank you!

RE: Cleaning With a Hand-held Steam Cleaner

My cleaner came with several attachments, but there was no instructions to describe how they are to be used. I'm really looking for the particular attachment that allows me to iron my curtains.

I bought one of those too. I have a parrot and it makes short work with cage cleaning. Removes poop from all the crevices with ease. Now I don't have to wait for a hot sunny day and lug his huge heavy cage outside to hose it down. Plus I dont' have to use any type of cleaner. They are so toxic and the steam does it all.

It is great to do the tracks in your patio doors and tracks of the windows.

I've had no luck using the steamer. The steam may kill germs, but it blows the nasty gunk everywhere, YUCK. Good Luck!

RE: Cleaning With a Hand-held Steam Cleaner

I too would like ideas on using a hand held steamer as I bought one and haven't even tried out yet. I have seen them demonstrated on TV tho and looks like you can use for all sorts of purposes. They showed even using an attachment and getting off soap scum on shower doors. I am hoping to try it on tile grout. I don't see why it wouldn't work there and probably wouldn't require much effort on my part. There must be someone out there that uses one regularly and can give us some hints! Thanks!
