Can the Swiffer Wet Jet be used on laminate floors?

I was told by the salesman that sold me my floor never to use a swiffer type product on my laminate floor as it would leave a reside after time that would be impossible to remove. I either use vinegar and water for everyday and BONA once a week. Also make sure that you never leave standing water in the floor only damp mop or it will cause it to peel up.

I use the Swifter on my laminate floors. Haven't noticed any damage.
