Decorating with Old Fashioned DolliesBy Momof1 from Wilkesboro, NC Feedback About This Post:RE: Decorating with Old Fashioned DolliesOh, I forgot to mention that I'd also used some coloured doilies I found in a charity shop and stitched them to plain cushion covers, they look great! A cheap way to revamp plain cushions :) Post By jojo (Guest Post) RE: Decorating with Old Fashioned Dollies
Another way to use old or soiled doilies that are past their best is to get a cheap canvas (desired size) paint it one colour, then layer old/soiled doilies in a random pattern and spray a contrasting colour over the top. When dried you can remove the doilies but the pattern will show through from the original base colour! Post By jojo (Guest Post) RE: Decorating with Old Fashioned DolliesThat really shows how pretty they are, but it also keeps them from being laundered to death. They were made by hand, so many hours in each one, they are deserving of being featured. Great tip. Post by kimhis |
