Distract yourself when you start to get that urge to eat; especially in the evening! Definitly exercise through whatever form you favor. I find having upbeat music on in the house and out is a great help. Don't put yourself down. You can cause an electrolyte imbalance and pass out. Also, any food or beverage with a water content is hydrating. There is no such thing as a dehydrating beverage. Post by SusannL RE: Quick Weight Loss TipsI don't think you can safely loose 100 lbs in 6 weeks, but you can definitely reevaluate what you eat and start making healthy choices in that time. You didn't mention if you exercise--that would be something to consider. Also, drink plenty of water. If you don't like the taste of plain water, get a bottle of lemon juice (near the juices in the grocery store) and put a squirt of that in your water. I think that Dr. Oz guy that's on Oprah has some good ideas about eating and living healthy. Just cut your daily portions in half. If you would like dessert only eat half or find someone to eat the other half. Do not let yourself ever to get stuffed! You will notice how much better you feel after eating light and you will not have that tired feeling. Your body will adjust very fast to eating less food and you will not feel deprived because you are allowing yourself whatever you want to eat but just HALF of it. Dont go overboard on junk food. Stay away from restaurant food if possible. I made it through 2 holidays and lost 24 lbs in 5 months with no exercise. I now walk three times a week and I am still eating half portions.
