Feedback About This Post:RE: Great Big Ideas for Little JarsFor a screw/nail/nut/bolt organizer for hubby's shop, drill holes in the lids, then screw the lids to a shelf. The lids stay put, so they don't get lost, and you have some place (and know where it is) to put the jar back. It also frees up workspace. Post by calnorth RE: Great Big Ideas for Little JarsYou can also make snow globes out of them. The kids love it! Glue a little figure on the inside of the lid. Fill the jar with water and ad a few drops of glycerin. Add some glitter or confetti or both. Screw on the lid tightly - you can glue it shut if you want. Flip it over and you're done! Post by prplel8dy RE: Great Big Ideas for Little JarsEmpty spice jars (e.g. Schwartz), about 3" high and 1" diameter, are great for putting a single short-stemmed flower in. If a daffodil or similar snaps off in the wind or while gardening, rather than just throw it away it makes a pretty feature on a mantlepiece or window ledge. (Sorry to state the obvious, but do put the flower in water in the jar!) Post by econ o'miser RE: Great Big Ideas for Little JarsThis idea for little jars isn't for everyone, I know but they a great for holding Holy Water from your Catholic Church. Sometimes the church will ask for the small jars to use for this purpose so that those who would like to have a little can fill and take them home. Post By pats/az (Guest Post) |
