Vomit on a Couch

Our 2-year old daughter got sick and we let her lay down on the living room couch so that I could keep an eye on her while she naps. But then she vomited. She is now better but the vomit odor is still lingering around. I have used lysol disinfectant spray, soap and water and a couple of other products but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any suggestions (other than buying a new couch)? Thanks!

My 4 yr old throw up in the back seat of my car- I've used soap and water, liquid detergent and nothing has worked! Any cures or remedy for the car?

Kids N Pets Instant All Purpose Stain and Odor Remover works wonders. Gets rid of the rotten milk smell, I've bought it at our local grocery store and Walmert.

I can one up you. Trying to be a nice guy I drove a drunk friend home... he persisted to vomit inside my car several times in every direction (he got the front window all the way from the back seat if that tells you anything) So my car still wreaks of budweiser, jim beam, and vomit. Most horrific smell you can possibly imagine.

Not that anyone wants to go buy anything, but rug doctor makes odor eliminator and it took the vomit smell right away!! I just put it in a spray bottle and directly applied to the area. Good luck!!

Try an enzyme odor remover such as those used on pet accidents. There is one called "Miracle" something. Any pet store or pet department will have a variety of these products.

Spray with Woolite rug and carpet stain remover and clean up as directed on the bottle. This stuff works great at removing stains and odors.
If after cleaning (be sure to have let the area dry first) there is still a vomit smell use lysol disinfectant spray to kill the bactera/germs that is causing the smell.

Spray the area with water and coat with baking soda. Let it dry, say overnight, and vacuum. Good luck!
