Remedy for Itching Mosquito Bites

Have you ever been to a outdoor activity and got bit by a mosquito? Well if so, keep reading. There are many ways to prevent the pests but what happens when they do bite? You can use tape or use clear fingernail polish.

Here's the story behind this useful tip. One day I was outside taking the trash out, and I noticed a bug on my arm. I smacked it and about 3 hours later I noticed it was 3 bites on my arm. The bug had got me good.

I heard a lady talking a week earlier about how clear nail polish stops itching and swelling around the injection site of the mosquito. So I tried it and it actually worked. It stopped the itching and the swelling went down.

All you have to do is get some clear nail polish and apply it to the bite. In about 8 to 10 hours the polish will start to crack and you may have to do the process again.

I discovered that Dawn Plus hand renewal works instantly and permanently! I get large welts after a bite and the itching is so severe that I scratch til I bleed. One day I ran into the kitchen to wash my hands and used the Dawn product. I used Dawn with hot water only to rinse. Lo and behold, the welts disappeared instantly on the areas that were covered with dawn. No itching, scratching for good. Since this discovery, I apply dawn directly to the affected areas and rinse. Instant success, plus you can use the stuff to wash your dishes! I use the pomegranet fragrance, but even Dawn regular works just as well. Try it!

Great ideas Ladies, but there's just one thing. Let's try not to get "cancer" and other auto-immune disease, running from the sting of a mosquito. The ingredients in nail polish are atrocious at best. Look out!

I had to smile when I read this one! I'm 59 years old and my mother used to do this with all us children as we were growing up and getting bitten by mosquitos. It certainly works!

The very best solution for a bug bite is oil of oregano, you can purchase it at a health food store, just takes less that one drop on a fresh bite to remove all swelling/itching for the life of the bite. Best stuff ever.

I purchased "AfterBite, The Itch Eraser". Ingredients: Ammonia 3.5% w/v (Medicinal) and Natural Oil. It is so handy to use and made to carry in your pocket. I think I found it in the first aid section at Walmart. It is fast relief from insect bites and stings. Haven't had a sting yet and hope I don't so can't vouch for that one, but it's great for itching insect bites.

I have used hand sanitizer to stop the itching of bug bites. It also cleans the area.
