I am doing a science fair project, and I was wondering do u no what gets a coffee or grape juice stain out the best out of resolve, vinegar, and rubbing alcohol.

WOW! I'm absolutely amazed. I spilled grape juice on my light pink shirt and I read this site and it said to try peroxide. And it worked. I just poured it on and its like new. Thanks guys!

My daughter came home from pre-school with dried-on grape juice stains all over her expensive boutique embroidered courderoy outfit. Talk about something hard to A-scrub and B-scrub without damaging the delicate embroidery. So I read about the boiled water method. Tried it. WORKS LIKE MAGIC! Thanks so much!

Thank you to all the people who wrote about the hydrogen peroxide. My 11 year old daughter got some small grape juice spots on her good khaki pants and the hydrogen peroxide did the trick. We were out when it happened, so it was several hours later that the pants were treated...it worked! Just a note...I didn't try getting the stain out while we were out since it would have just made a big wet spot and would have embarressed her. It worked anyways and saved me $. Thanks again!

Science fair project
I need to find out what takes grape juice stains out of a white cotton shirt. I know the boiling water and Hydrogen Peroxide is there anything else? I need two other things to test.

Hydrogen Peroxide will remove any ORGANIC stain, including grape juice & red wine. Buy Peroxide when it's on sale 2 for $1. Put one bottle in the medicine cabinet & one bottle in the laundry area. Pour it on wet or dry fabric, let sit for 15 min, then if needed you can do it again. Then launder as usual, but if you're cleaning spots from carpeting or upholstery, no rinsing is needed as it leaves no residue (it works with oxygen "fizzing" out the stain). Sometimes it's best to put the peroxide in a well marked spray bottle & spray it on the carpet. Always "spot test" a small area first!
---> Peroxide removes coffee, hot chocolate, blood & many other things too!

I would not have believed it if I had not tried it. I tried everything from vinegar to club soda all to no avail. It was a fresh stain of purple sparkling grape juice and it was huge. I finally found this page and tried pouring boiling water on my table cloth. The stain is completely gone. Thank you!

I found a week old grape juice stain on my 3 yr old daughters white comforter last night and used the boiling method and it came out, I did use a little bleach too and some shout but i think the boiling water helped a lot. Thanks all!

I took out grape juice and other fruit stains with the
boiling water method. Just make sure the water is boiling
hot and poor it through the stain. Repeat if necessary, the
first attempt doesn't always get everything out.
After it's gone use a little spray and wash before putting
it in the laundry.
Thanks to whoever first came up with this tip, it really works!

I am a believer. I spilled cran-grape juice on a light colored jacket. I boiled water in the microwave, put the portion of my jacket that had the stain in the bowl....gone in less than two minutes.

I just spilt grape juice on my white halter top, and I followed the advice about pouring boiling water on it. Once I had the water boiled, it took about 3 seconds for me to pour the water on the shirt and instantly the stain was gone. I didn't even have to scrub! That's amazing.

I just took a grape juice stain out of my 6 month old's yellow and blue shirt by pouring a cup of boiling water over it. It disappeared within seconds, pretty amazing.

hi. im doing science fair and i need to know why grape juice stains clothes. at first i looked up whats in laundry detergent to clean clothes but they dont give out ingredients for several reasons, so i asked my teacher what i should do and she told me to look up info about what in the stains. and she said something about biochemicals. i did research and still did not find anything.i need help. please help me.

boiling water ppoured through the garment at the stain. Instantly removes before your eyes. I was sceptical the first time I tried it but I was losing the white blouse any way if I could not get it out.
I put grape juice on it again just to show others how well it worked. on cotton as well as synthetic!

i got a grape juice stain on a white blouse. the soonest i could get to cleaning it was about two hours later. i tried washing it by hand with laundry soup, but the stain only changed in color from purple to blue. i than soaked it in some warm water with oxiclean and shortly afterwards the stain started to lift. after swishing and rubbing it around a little, the stain came out completely. good luck!

I got a grape juice stain on a brown cotton shirt and
I tried soap and water and it didn't come out. I then
poured some white vinegar on it and the stain disappeared right before my very eyes. Couldn't believe how easy it came out. It didn't discolor the brown shirt either.

You can also put hair spray over top of the stain put it in the wash and its out.

I used hydrogen peroxide and it is working as I write. It doesn't come out instantly, but it is almost gone and it has been soaking for 15 minutes.

Editor's Note: Probably your best bet is to use Oxiclean. It works well on grape juice. If that is not available, rubbing table salt into the stain, let it sit, then rinse.

When you say peroxide, do you mean hydrogen peroxide? My son got a grape juice stain on his tan pants and I tried vinegar (because it's supposed to work on colored carpet stains); all it did was turn the dark blue stain to purple.

Using peroxide on a grape juice spill on my favorite tablecloth (pale green in color) worked wonderfully! I threw it in a tub of cold water right after the spill happened, then I soaked the stained area in a bowl with peroxide in it overnight. There was absolutely no grape juice to be seen in the morning! Thanks to this site for giving me the tip!

My daughter loves grape juice. And she also loves to smile. However she does both at the same time and now I have stains all over her baby clothes. Any ideas how to remove grape juice stains from a wide variety of colored clothing?

Soak it in peroxide. My son spilled the communion try on my husband's tan shorts a few years back, and I took it after a few hours of sitting around, and soaked them in peroxide. It came out and you can't even tell.

I used Oxyclean on all my son's baby clothes, and never had to replace anything. Bleach works better on white clothes, as Oxyclean can leave it dingy and yellow. Hope this helps!

I just spilled grape juice down my shirt. I tried SHOUT right away and it basically did NOTHING. I went to this web site and saw the entry about peroxide and tried it. Within 5 minutes, the stain completely disappeared! Who knew!
