Cleaning a Stainless Steel Coffee PotRose from Malvern, PA Feedback About This Post:RE: Cleaning a Stainless Steel Coffee PotI was a sceptic about using Oxi Clean in my Stainless Steel Coffee Pot. I had tried using vinegar, Soft Scrub and a couple of other methods. Today I tried the Oxi Clean with Hot Water and let it soak for about 45 minutes. I was astonished at the results. It looks brand new and I am not kidding. Thanks so much for the tip. Post by MrsSabes RE: Cleaning a Stainless Steel Coffee PotOK, the answser is without a doubt -- OxyClean. OMG, it made my stainless steel mugs look like NEW. They were so fouled up that I was going to throw them away. Thanks to everyone that suggested this answer. Post By TJ (Guest Post) RE: Cleaning a Stainless Steel Coffee PotTried the baking soda & salt didn't work. Not crazy about putting harsh chemicals in my coffee pot. Will try something else. (Guest Post) RE: Cleaning a Stainless Steel Coffee PotOxyClean! Wow! Fill pot with hot water, use 1/2 scoop and let it sit an hour. Clean and shiney! Post By Kathekay (Guest Post) RE: Cleaning a Stainless Steel Coffee PotI used Oxi Clean as well, small amount with hot water. Let it sit for 30-60 minutes, didn't even touch the stainless steel pot. It was shining without a trace of coffee stain. Post By Chris (Guest Post) RE: Cleaning a Stainless Steel Coffee PotThe Oxi Clean worked GREAT! For our stainless thermo-pot I put one scoop of Oxi Clean in the pot filled with very hot water. Let stand for about 15 - 20 min. stirring a couple of times. Interior of pot came out shining! Thank you everyone for all your suggestions. Will certainly try them. I'm looking forward to a clean and sparkling pot. Will definitely try the oxi clean and dishwasher soap suggestions. Post By RealtorRose (Guest Post) RE: Cleaning a Stainless Steel Coffee PotIf you mean a percolator, I use 1/8 cup of Oxi Clean and a full pot of water. After perking, run two more pots of plain water through. It sparkles on the inside and all of the build up is gone. Post by Lynn RE: Cleaning a Stainless Steel Coffee PotHeat white vinegar in the pot.. Post by Dorie |
