Gift from Groom: Necklace Before or After Wedding

My son has a diamond neckland to give his bride on their wedding day, but she is planning to wear (faux) pearls. Should he give it to her the day before the wedding so she can wear it during the wedding?

Give it to her at the rehearsal dinner, explaining that the choice is hers whether to wear it with her wedding dress or not.

It might be nice for him to present it to her after all the stresses of the cermony and reception are over... maybe on the first night of their honeymoon? I think it could more memorable that way, and not got lost in all the confusion.

If he gives it to her before the wedding, it would be good for him to let her know that it's okay not to wear it for the wedding if she thinks it wouldn't go with her dress. Other than that, most women would love to receive a gift like that and wear it during the wedding but I think it's important for her to know that it's okay not to wear it during the wedding.

maybe the pearls, real or not, go better with her dress. When is the usual time for the groom to give a gift to the bride.. stick with that. She can always wear it in the pictures taken after the ceremony or on the honeymoon.

I think yes, he should give it to her after the wedding rehearsal. Good luck!
