Blue Stain Around Sink Drain

I just redid my bathroom and the tub and sinks have slightly bluish stains by the drains. Is this from iron in my well water? Is there any product that would remove the stains without damaging the new tub and sinks?

Try white vinegar, let it sit for a little while and then scrub with a kitchen sponge with the scrubby on one side.

I have this in my shower. One plumber says it might be from the flux used when we had a copper repiped. He had no clue how to remove it though. We have VERY hard water, and the deposits just laugh at CLR.

I was able to remove a similar stain many years ago in another building, but this may require nuclear strength cleaner. I'm also going to call the company who put it in and find out what kind of flux was used, perhaps there is a flux cleaner or remover I can get. Straight rubbing alcohol didn't work for this stuff like it does for regular soldering flux.

try CLR, you can get it at Walmart, Kmart, most grocery stores. Use it full strength. It won't hurt the finish... it works on mine. The blue stains on mine are because my water's ph is to acidic..
