If you don't have WD-40 on hand, Tilex works as well. I used just a little bit and with minimal scrubbing, the sticker residue came off immediately.

WD-40 IS the way to go. It removed the sticky residue from a hard plastic Christmas candy tray. Tried the OOPS on hard plastic and ruined it. Don't use solvents becuasue it will deface plastic.

Butter and peanut butter are messy. WD40 smells and requires a good washing after. What worked best for me was lock de-icer that I use on my car when locks freeze up in winter. You don't have to leave it on long and the goop comes right off.

I recently bought a nike water bottle. they stuck so many stickers, having a headache thinking how to get them off.
well, I tried WD40! its like really good!!
now my bottle is as good as new thanks guys! :)

Heat it up with hair dryer, then peel. WD-40/Goo-Gone/Alcohol/Nail Polish Remover if needed to remove annoying residue.

The regular butter works pretty fine, even on those stubborn ugly sticker left overs. Just remember to keep it 15 minutes long.

I use Goo-Gone. I buy mine at JoAnn Fabrics or WalMart. Put a small amount on, let it sit a minute and start picking the label off. Works like a charm. I hate stickers so try to remove these as soon as I buy an item. If the item gets washed or sits around for a while they may tend to adhear more. Good Luck

Try mineral oil. Saturate the sticker and leave on for five minutes then wipe off with a paper towel.

I used peanut butter on my brand new computer, the sticker "goo" came RIGHT off after letting it sit for a couple of minutes. Natural and non abrasive!

I couldnt find peanut butter at home, so i tried ordinary butter, and it worked like magic!
Simply leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes, then wipe it off with a dry kitchen towel. If the surface is oily or smells buttery, just wash it with soap and it'll be 100% perfect!

I think any moisturizing cream will do, and will never damage any kind of plastic.

I used goof-off on my new plastic pool tumblers, and it ruined them. It was too strong for the plastic and the colour printed on the cup ... a smeary mess! I'll try the peanut butter. It can't hurt.

To be safe, do NOT use lighter fluid as it may affect the colour of the plastic. It doesn't happen always but who wants to risk it.
You need something greasy. I am allergic to Peanuts so I used Nivea Cream. Anything oily will penetrate the paper and dissolve the glue. The thicker and glossier the paper, the longer you need to leave it. Rubbing helps.

OMG! I've just tried Avon skin so soft on a plastic window in a wallet and it removed the goo from the sticker, awesome. Even better I'm an avon rep., double awesome.

Hi-you can buy a product called goof-off which will remove all types of sticky stuff. If you get sticky stuff on your clothes try de-solve-it. This will also take out grease spots like if grease splatters on you while cooking.

hi from mexico, i just used peanut butter and it was great it takes 10 minutes and waaaallaaa! all clean. ooohhh and during those minutes please enjoy a sandwich, it will be much better.

Well, I just tried the peanutbutter, and was not impressed. I left it on a half an hour, and not all the sticker came off, and then had a huge mess to clean up. I think I'll try the wd40 next time.

I tried the peanut butter tip for removing a gooie sticker backing from a large plastic jar and it worked amazing. Even my husband who was skeptical, was amazed. Thanks for the hint.

Whoopee! WD40 did it in 5 minutes. Geez. I wasted 3.5 hours last night trying to get a huge sticker off of a $300+ Cadillac Escalade toy for my child, and was ready to take it back to the store - I even tried to call the manufacturer to find out, A. Why would they put a sticker that was cemented on the passenger side of a toy known for it's cool black color; and B. How do you get it off. No response. Then I decided to look on the Internet. THANK YOU ALL!

WD40 removed the remainder glue left on two different companies phones surfaces from two different sticker sources. Drop a drop or two, wait for a second or two, massage WD40 over sticky surface area with one finger tip, sticky goo will dissolve or melt into a thin paste-like something. Wipe off all with edge of smooth cloth containing small quantity of WD40. Disconnect phone before doing this. Don't let WD40 ooze into any of the holes that may let it inside the phone electronics. Or, hold phone/object upside down so any excess WD40 will drip-off the surface, like painting the roof from its underside.

Lighter fluid is the best thing I have found, it even gets the label off of prescription medicine bottles.

All those things work,but the safest thing I've found is Avon's Skin so soft. works on any surface & it wont smell bad or discolor the plastic. I've even used it to remove pin stripping from a car! My husband tried goo be gone & it removed the paint & it took him hours,I did it when he was at work & it took 15 min. He was amazed! Hope this helps!

I use a product called GOO GONE. It's a citrus based product, made by Magic American Corporation. Just poor a little on the sticker let it set for a moment and rub with a rag in a circular motion and stickers and left over glue come right off.

W-D 40 in a can is the only way to go. I keep a can under my sink for just such instances. In the event you don't have a can of WD-40 in the garage, vegetable or baby oil will work also. Just cover the sticker with any of the 3, and let sit for a time. Sticker should peel right off!

I had used lighter fluid for years & it does work. But in my quest to use & keep less chemicals in my house I now just let them soak in hot soapy water. If it's furniture you can use a sponge to keep it on the surface.
