50th Anniversary Party Favors

My friends and I are planning a surprise 50th anniversary for another couple of friends. We're having it at a a very casual restaurant on the river. Does anyone have any ideas for cute simple place cards/favors to put at each seat? Maybe something we could put a few mints or other little items in. Nothing fancy because it will be quite casual.

Thanks for any ideas.

RE: 50th Anniversary Party Favors

Hi There
Our family is in the process of planning our parents 50th. I just came across a company in Arizona called pretty party place .com. They have these buttermints pkg. 50 $2.99 with gold 50th anniversary wrappers. Then you could use white tulle netting with gold specks and a thankyou attached with a fine ribbon. I am ordering some tomorrow. I hope this helps.

Thanks so much for all the great ideas. Since we are in Florida, the boats and shells sound perfect!

Continue with the shells ( unless it's too much)-- glue or stick the really small candy papers in gold-- it is a golden anniversary..... or gold cards on those shells with names in calligraphy in black--
Go to a party store-- see about gold bells as a name holder--
have fun

RE: 50th Anniversary Party Favors

How about this? I received one of these at a wedding. A plastic spoon (they come in colors, or in silver or gold color) with two hershey's kisses in the spoon, wrapped in tulle/netting, and tied with a bit of curling ribbon. I would use the gold-wrapped kisses, gold tulle, gold ribbon. Attach a tag that says, "A spoonful of kisses from the Mr. and Mrs.", or "Two golden kisses from the Mr. and Mrs.", etc.

Wedding Favor Spoonful of Kisses

Items needed:

Hershey's® Kisses

plastic spoons

Tulle

ribbon

Computer & Card Stock

On each spoon place a two kisses..

Then wrap the spoon with Tulle and tie a bow with the ribbon.

Attach a note that says:

"A spoonful of kisses from the Mr. and Mrs.!"

I'd check out a local Dollar store or similar for small 'party favor' size boats. I like the idea of putting them in a shell with a few LIFESAVER candies.Wrap in netting, tie with a twine with a welcome aboard sign on it. You should also be able to pick up the boats at a party store.

Why not seashells? Get some big enough to put a few mint in them.
