Middle School Dance IdeasNikki from Sacramento Feedback About This Post:RE: Middle School Dance IdeasFor my 8th grade dance next year we are having a black and white theme and this years is a night in Paris. Post By Enter your name. (Guest Post) RE: Middle School Dance IdeaWell A rock and roll theme is great and that ways boys and girls go...plus its inexpensive cuz all u need is a dj, a teacher who will go around with a camera, some cheap possibly home-made decorations and food and drinks...ok maybe it could be a little pricey, but its totally worth it...and that way all the popular girls wont know how to dance to rock so it might let others show off their moves...oh yea Post By teenage is torture (Guest Post) RE: Middle School Dance IdeasMy school did a neon dance! Incredibly fun! Post By isabella (Guest Post) RE: Middle School Dance IdeasWe are having a valentines dances and we are thinking of ideas but we might do a blackout dance with only a little bit of light, or have a Chocolate Fountain! O ya baby! Post By Bella (Guest Post) RE: Middle School Dance Ideas
At my old school in Silverton, OR we had so much fun. we had a DJ we had NO parents. but we did have the teachers. We could do what ever we want. We could get our pix taken with all our friends. Now I'm at a school that can't even afford a DJ it's so stupid. Post By Zandra A. (Guest Post) RE: Middle School Dance IdeasI wanted to know if you guys had any ideas for a WINTER theme? The name of the dance is going to be called "Winter Wipeout", and I just wanted to know if you guys had any ideas. Post By irene (Guest Post) RE: Middle School Dance Ideas
I was thinking maybe a 60's dance. The girls wearing poodle skirts and the guys wearing jeans a t-shirt and a leather jacket or something! Post By Enter your name. (Guest Post) RE: Middle School Dance IdeasSo I'm in student council and in my class we have committees and right now I'm on the dance committee. Well we want a Sadie Hawkins where girls ask guys but we don't know what theme. We thought: Wear White with black light, jungle, 80's/60's, blizzard blackout and yea. I still need A LOT more! please help! Post By Charley (Guest Post) RE: Middle School Dance IdeasWe are having a dance and I'm in charge of music and I have no idea what to play for my 8th grade classmates. Ok I need help! This is my first year as a Student Council Advisor and we are hosting a sock hop dance! We have lots of door prizes, games, and AWESOME DJ with light show fog and all the latest HITS all the kids like. They do NOT have to dress in 50's and I have a little more than a week till the dance and have sold 20 tickets out of 750 students. WHAT CAN I DO TO GET THEM TO BUY A TICKET! I thought all the prizes and incentives would be enough. Is it the theme? and it's to late to change so what do I do? Post By Jen (Guest Post) RE: Middle School Dance IdeasWe have had quite a few dances and the best one so far has been the 80's dance parent were dressed up and kids and everyone listened to the music from that time too. Another good dance theme was our favorite movie characters. but make sure you got a good dj otherwise it'll suck, trust me! And the other thing is you'll have some people bringing it down but try to include them in whatever even if it means dancing with people you don't know or like it is cool to meet new people anyway! Post By Sara (Guest Post) RE: Middle School Dance IdeasAt our school, we just have a DJ. people come and dance all night. Usually the girls dance with the girls and the boys are all crazy and like to show off for the girls. But some slow songs my friends and I get our other friends to dance with the boy they like. It's pretty fun. Post By Libby (Guest Post) RE: Middle School Dance IdeasWell myself being an 8th grader, we had a dance this past Saturday night. We did a dancing with the stars theme and it looked really cool so try it and see how cool it looks. But we did not all have dates but we still had a great time with friends and waited for a guy to ask us to dance. None of my friends nor me got asked but we had a blast as just friends. Post By kaylee (Guest Post) RE: Middle School Dance IdeasThe glow sticks give it a kinda rave feeling. We did that once. It was all crazy. Post By Enter your name. (Guest Post) RE: Middle School Dance IdeasAs a teacher, I admit that this is a tricky age, but you may want to try the Cupid Shuffle or the Cha Cha Slide. If the students can't dance, they both give instructions. I like to offer dance classes a couple of days before the dance. Find simple, CURRENT dances for them to learn. By asking some of the older studentsand going on to youtube.com, these dances can be learned and offered in advance. Post By Taylor (Guest Post) RE: Middle School Dance IdeasI like the Glow in the Dark Idea... or Chinese! Post By Ali (Guest Post) |
