Permanent Marker on Blinds

I need to know if anyone has any tips on how to get black permanent marker (sharpie) off vertical blinds still on the window! My 2 year old went crazy and scribbled all over them! I'm desperate.

Try scrubbing bubbles spray foam! Try it on your blinds also. dirt, grease, markers, run right off!

Try silicone (comes in an aerosole can). My husband is a blind installer and uses this on many marks that come from the manufacturers.

I have had good luck with Comet, or some other abrasive cleaner, but I have also had the Comet remove the finish from the surface (ie paint from the wall!). Try a small inconspicuous spot first.

Are your blinds metallic or plastic, or are they fabric covered? A smooth surface should be relatively easy to clean, but a fabric covered blind may require something else again.

Ranger makes a solution that is used with their alcohol inks. Cost for a small bottle 5.00 at the most a little goes a long way. Sharpies are alcohol based pens. This will clean it up nicely.

Try magic erasers either Mr. Clean brand or Target brand. I don't know how anyone with kids lives without them!! Good Luck

Most permanent marker can be removed with isopropyl alcohol.

Try going over the permanent marker with a dry-erase marker. It has worked for me on many surfaces except some metals. Good Luck!
