Getting Rid of Fleas In Neighbors Yardkathryn09 from Memphis, TN Feedback About This Post:RE: Getting Rid of Fleas In Neighbors YardI came across this site about getting rid of fleas and tried a few of the suggested methods there. I got some good ideas that worked like a charm. You might want to check it out here. http://gettingridoffleas.wordpress.com/ Post By Joshua (Guest Post) RE: Getting Rid of Fleas In Neighbors YardI've never had a flea problem. Each year I purchase cedar chips and place it like mulch all along my fence line. I also sprinkle it lightly throughout my lawn. I don't like chemicals on my lawn and this has always worked for me. My neighbors all have outside dogs and I've never had a problem. Good luck! Post By linda (Guest Post) RE: Getting Rid of Fleas In Neighbors Yard
Just keep doing what you are doing. We never treated our yard. We have used flea preventatives for over 18 years. We never have a problem. It keeps the fleas off the dog no matter where they are outside. It would be nice if the neighbors would, however, you just keep doing your thing and your dog will be OK. I am highly susceptible to flea bites and MUST not have them in the house and I don't! Post By Enter your name. (Guest Post) RE: Getting Rid of Fleas In Neighbors YardThe best way I have found to keep fleas out of a yard is to use sulfur. It will not hurt humans or pets, but will kill fleas, or any insect. Most garden supplies or Home Depots will sell it. Also depending on the fence, on a windy day the wind can carry the sulfur into the neighbors yard. I always put mine out just before taking a bath and washing my hair because it does smell. Post By Cindy in texas (Guest Post) RE: Getting Rid of Fleas In Neighbors Yard
Hi Kathryn! Post by ILuvDobes RE: Getting Rid of Fleas In Neighbors YardWe had the same problem. Unfortunately, you cannot tell your neighbor's what to do with their property, especially if they have a reason for not wanting to use pesticides. Their poor dogs must be miserable. Post by susanmajp RE: Getting Rid of Fleas In Neighbors YardThat's terrible! That's a question I think you need to further explore. If they aren't treating their pets then you are never going to get rid of the fleas. What was their reasoning why they aren't protecting their pets and yard? I really feel for your situation. Good luck resolving this unfortunate disagreement. Post by jjager RE: Getting Rid of Fleas In Neighbors YardI, personally, have not tried it. But, I have heard many, many people say that they sprinkle a thick layer of borax (Found in the laundry aisle) on their property line. They also sprinkle it on carpets, let sit over night, then vacuum. Will not harm children or pets. But they swear by it for killing fleas. Post By Sue (Guest Post) |
