| RE: Help with Using a Sling on Dog |
|
Make sure she is on a leash. Then you can put a towel under her abdomen to walk her until you get out into the grass in your yard and then let it go so she can use the bathroom, or just decrease the amount you are holding her up so she has some control. If her leg is in a sling, she should be able to get around on 3 legs pretty well after a couple of days of adjusting. Just make sure she stays on a leash so she won't run away. ... | RE: Fleas on a Cement Patio |
|
You need to treat the entire house and yard at the same time (weekend). Take the cat to a friend's or the vet for the weekend and apply something to the cat to kill fleas for a month (ex. Frontline, Advantage, Advantage Multi). Vacuum the entire house and sweep and mop all other floors. Then treat all the house, the bombs will get in every nook and cranny, but then you have to put up food and clean dishes. Then vacuum every day for a month. Treat the yard with a spray or granule type flea killer. Granules last longer. Then reapply monthly prevention to the cat for at least 3 months. Treat the house as the directions say on the product you got to kill fleas. Make sure you treat all cats and dogs in the household. Good luck, but it will take a while to get them under control. ... Not sure what kind of guidance you want. Take it to the vet for an exam and vaccinations, they can help you with problems specific to your dog. It might be prone to ear problems, so clean the ears regularly after bathing. Trim the nails regularly. Get the dog used to being brushed. Make sure it eats a good quality dog food. Don't let it get away with things, sometimes those breeds can be stubborn. Walk it on a leash. Get an ID tag on its collar. Use crate training to house train it if it isn't already house trained. Don't let it bite your hands, even playing. ... View related article. |

| RE: Can't Get Seeds To Start Growing |

Make sure they are this year's seeds. If seeds get too old they will not germinate well. Also you can try one of those Jiffy pot containers, where you add seeds and water and put the lid on to hold the moisture in. Then I would put it in a location to get some sun, make sure not too hot or cold (near an A/C vent). ... View related article. |
