RE: Train Birthday Party Decorations
You could cover shoeboxes, or other boxes, with wrapping paper. Cut out black circles for wheels. Line the boxes up like a train, connected with strips of black paper, and use them to hold party favors or snacks. You could make a track for your train just by cutting strips of black paper and laying them together on a table in a track pattern. Get some poster board and make railroad signs.
Make a cake and cut it into rectangles. Use cookies for wheels and licorice strips to connect the rectangles together to make a train car. Stack some Oreos on the front car to make a smoke stack. (Even easier--make a loaf-shaped cake and just do a train engine or caboose!)
Use red bandannas instead of napkins! (Get them at a dollar store)
Use your little guy's toys for decorations--esp. if he has any Brio or Thomas the Tank Engine toys.
If you can get a box big enough for him to sit in, decorate it like a train car and let him play in it--you'll get some cute photos!
Hope you have fun!

RE: Kitkat
Kitkat looks like a big, healthy girl. She reminds me of a cat I used to have, Mercedes, who lived to be 20! May your cat live a long, healthy life, too!

RE: Deodorant Makes My Underarms Itchy
Could it be because the deodorant is drying your skin? I wonder if it would help if you could find someting with a moisturizer in it--maybe Dove? ... View related article.

RE: Home Organizing Tips
Two of my favorite tv shows are "Mission:Organization" and "Clean Sweep." Both are full of wonderful ideas. You don't have to buy the fancy-schmancy organizing stuff, but you can get some great ideas.
Do you have shoeboxes? They're boring--but if you cover them with pretty paper or fabric, then you have a nice place to store things. Keep your eyes open for pretty boxes and containers at garage sales and discount stores. Garage sales are a great place to look for shelves, too! Target sells boxes to store photos that range in price, but IMHO, the lesser expensive ones (which I use) look really nice.
If I were you, I'd pick one category and start there:organizing your photos, for example. If you try to do too many things at once, you'll be overwhelmed.
And don't be afraid to get rid of things!

RE: Acid Reflux Remedies
I was sick for quite a long time before a doctor finally did an endoscopy and found tears in my stomach. This isn't exactly acid reflux, but I know that the medicine I take, Aciphex, is for that purpose. I actually started with Protonox, but it is very expensive and the insurance company made me try something else. Aciphex works great for me--it's like night and day. So if the Nexium doesn't help, ask if it is possible to either get Protonix or Aciphex. I hope that you have good insurance for prescription drugs, because these things are dam*ed expensive if you have to pay for them outright. But frankly, as sick as I was, I'd give up everything to pay for my medication. I don't ever want to feel like that again!
I wish you all the luck for good health!

Oh, btw--look for real licorice. It's great for your stomach. Try the natural foods aisle. I don't know the brand, but it has a picture of a panda bear on the box. Another great thing is Lipton's "Ginger Twist" tea. Ginger is also good for a bad stomach. Obviously, you want to avoid overly spicey, gassy or heavily fried foods. ... View related article.

RE: School Fundraiser Ideas for Students
In our school, which is one of many John Glenn High Schools across America, we have a contest called "Mr. Glenn." It's a sort of mock 'beauty' contest, but for guys. It's played for fun and brings in a good crowd every year. ... View related article.

RE: Tie Day Ideas
Can't think of any tie games offhand, but you could try looking up "Father's Day" for some game ideas. After all, people are always giving their fathers ties!
