RE: Baking in a Small Oven
This is a matter of volume:

To have something set an inch deep in a 13*9 area, you need something that has a volume of 117 in^3 (or 13*9*1)...or something real close A 12*10 has a volume of 120 in^3 (the baked item will be a tiny bit thinner than usual). A 12*8 has a volume of 108 in^3. (the baked item will be a tiny bit thicker than usual)
A Circular pan is pi*r^2*depth. A 12 inch pan would be pi*(12/2)^2*1 or 3.14*6*6*1 or a volume of 113.04 in^3. (the baked item will be a tiny bit thicker than usual)

In all honesty, most things calling for a specific pan size are a bit ridiculous. All it would possibly do is throw off the cooking time by less than 5 minutes, if the volume is fairly close. When it is as close as what I wrote out, the timed difference is negligible. ... View related article.

RE: Dog Has Recently Become Aggressive
Try to remember that you are the dominant character in your dog's life. Sometimes the aggression is a sign that you do not dominate your dogs enough. One intimidation factor that will not hurt your dog, but keep it in it's place, is to hold your dog upside down, when standing up, irrelevant of how much they wiggle. Any time she is caught in the act of being aggressive, dominate her. ... View related article.

RE: Making a Necktie Lampshade
Got no clue for specifics, but I do know some of what you will need: A Cheap old lampshade.
A lampshade pattern.

Remember, Ties cannot be seen through, so you might just want to pull apart the seam on the back of the tie and pull out whatever lining it has so that only the colorful part of the tie remains.

Glue or sew together chunks of the tie/ties to roughly the same shape as your pattern, then cut it to the shape of your pattern, then follow any online lampshade making guide. ... View related article.

RE: Painting Fiberglass Boards Around a Tub
Oil based Kiltz. Oil based colored overcoat paint of your choice. You use Oil based because it will be more likely to keep the water out from under it, and more likely to keep the rust from bleeding through. I prefer outdoor pain in bathrooms and kitchens, since they hold up to rain, humidity and changing temperatures better than indoor paint.

ALSO: go to a home improvement store and talk to the paint person. They may have a specific product that they think is best for this project. ... View related article.

RE: Inexpensive Deodorizer Recipes
All I find that these tricks will do is mask, not deodorize. If the cats themselves have an odor, then the same spray you use on a ferret to inhibit smell will work on them.

If it is their litter, invest in a self cleaning litter box and empty it daily. (Saves on having to replace litter as often.) If the cats are trainable to a toilet or outside instead of the litter box, do so. Besides, cats will defecate all over the house if their litter box stinks.

If the Toms are spraying, get them fixed or put them outside.

Buy an odor killer (germ killer). If all those are too chemical, buy a squirt bottle, put a Tablespoon of Tea Tree Oil in it and fill the rest with alcohol. Spray your entire house at least once a week, then use the cheap smells you like. ... View related article.

RE: Hair and Well Water: Las Vegas
It probably has nothing to do with their water, your washing your hair or any effort you used. Unless you live in a very arid place, the atmosphere in Las Vegas is different from where you live. I live in Humidity Central and have severely wavy hair. When I went to Las Vegas, my hair had volume, was absolutely straight and stayed in place without a fight. ... View related article.
