| RE: Cleaning Up Baby Powder Residue on Floors |

If you are shaking the powder on, I would suggest you use a puff or washcloth instead. Never thought about putting my powder on in the shower. Great idea! Love this site! ... View related article. |

You also might try Simple Green, it works on all grease spots for me. It is my go to answer. If you use it you need to use a light solution such as dish soap afterward as Simple Green is an oil base and will leave an oil residue. Hence don't use it on carpet or fabric unless you can wash it out afterward.. ... View related article. |

| RE: Hosting a Candy Exchange Party |
|
We used to have candy and cookie exchanges in a couple of ways. The first year I invited my daughter-in-law, sister and her daugher-in-law. Each was to bring a dozen each of three different kinds of cookies for each person present. I would have sugar cookie dough made ready to be cut out and I would provide all of the decorating items. We would then decorate the baked sugar cookies and all would take home a share of them. We had a blast and everyone had a nice assortment of cookies. We did allow substitutions of candy instead of cookies some years. We traded the host each year. Our children were always in on the fun and mess. ... View related article. |

| RE: Suggestions for White Hair Other Than Dyeing |
|
You can color your own hair for as little as $2.97 a month. Go for a light blonde and the white roots won't show so bad and you won't have to color as often as if you go darker. My hair is white and I have been coloring blonde for a year now just for a change and love it. Now I have an excuse for my dumb mistakes, I blame the blonde hair. Sorry to you who are lucky to have natural blonde hair I mean no slam to you, just referring to the blonde jokes as now I get them all the time and don't mind because I look younger. ... I had the same problem, searched the net and found a doctor who recommended taking, don't laugh because it helped, children's Flintstones vitamins. two or three a day and 600mg calcium with vitamin D one per day. My granddaughter laughed at me taking the Flintstones, but hey if it works and it did for me. It took a couple of months or so to see the difference as the doctor said it would. Good luck. ... | RE: Craft: Personalized Hand Towels |
If you know they are not going to be used and only for show, you could try the glues that say they are okay to wash and won't wash out; I would try one before I gave it away though. You could just as well hand sew the fabric on. Just press the edges under and make small stitches using thread matching the towel.
If you check at garage sales lots of times there are used sewing machines, try to find a Singer, Viking or Husqvarna. They are good machines and can be worked on by most any sewing machine shop. A good cleaning is all most of them need. In Nebraska one can be bought for $25 or less. You might be able to barter with the owner, maybe offer to do something you are good at, or mending once you get the machine. Make sure she is willing to let you see it run. Avoid newer ones with lots of computer chips if they are cheap, most likely they have major problems. Have fun. ... View related article. |

| RE: What is the Gestation Period for Dogs? |
|
I suggest if you are thinking of breeding your pet you get in contact with a good vet. God willing you won't need their services but if you love your pet you will be prepared. Small breeds tend to have problems in delivering. If you aren't sure when she got bred the vet can give you a pretty good idea when she gets close. Her temperature will go up a couple of degrees and she will start nesting. I have raised puppies for years and wish you luck. Nothing more rewarding than watching the little babies being born and loving that Momma. Good luck. ... View related article. |

| RE: Buckle Your Purse in Your Seat Belt |
|
What a super idea. I rolled my truck two years ago during a blizzard in which my purse and many other things were thrown out of the truck. I hunted and hunted in the snow on my hands and knees for my purse. I was alone and thankfully not hurt badly but in my purse was my identification someone would have needed if I were. If I had only thought of buckling it in. Kudos to you! ... View related article. |

We use them also but we take them apart at the seams and turn inside out for the plain brown side. You can then refold them and glue them as they were using the folds already there. You can still decorate as you want. Thanks for sharing. ... View related article. |
