Gals, let me tell you my trick! After any gift giving holiday I watch for the sales. When it gets down to like 75% off, I start buying. Rolls of paper: take off the roll and fold it flat. You remember getting flat wrap in stores, don't you?
Gift bags that I receive and I purchase at thrift stores and garage sales: fold flat. All of this gets stored between my mattresses flat. It cannot get damaged..always there when I need it! I bought the most beautiful White Wrought Iron fencing sections there for $12.99 for 2 of them, about 38' wide by 36" tall. They needs a little scraping and coat of new paint!
I buy closet system components, Holiday decorations, clear plastic shoe boxes, file boxes, Cardboard Drawers (4 drawers in a case) pretty enough to not just put in my closet for storage, but to actually use in our office at home! $4.99!

Better yet.like me, buried my husband and three years later marry a wonderful man and move into his home. My stuff looked cheapo next to his. I have donated my good stuff to Goodwill and bought higher dollar stuff at the Goodwill.
I refuse to pay new retail for things that are at Goodwill all the time!! If the Goodwill does not have it, I shop on Craigslist local, or Ebay and I still beat retail (even with the shipping fees! My new husband is amazed at how I save us money! ... View related article.

I made my husband (a cigar smoker) a specility Cigar Storage box with Air Force Fabric and gold braided trim glued on. Then I decoupaged a personalized poem inside and the date, and occasion. He was so touched & just loved it! ... View related article.
