I'm not sure what doggie diapers look like but we have used little boy's underwear/briefs on our dog backwards so her tail (stump) could stick out. ... View related article. |

| RE: Patterns for Plastic Canvas |
|
How about this one? It was made for me by a Senior. Looks like she simply measured a sweetener packet and made the holder from that. You probably could use a sugar packet as well. This looks like a quick & easy project using 5 small pieces of plastic canvas. Enjoy. ... View related article. |

| RE: Keeping Wildlife From Defecating on Patio |
|
Try Repels-All made by Bonide company. I am using it for the first time this year to keep shrews out of my cold frame. I got a jug of the granules from my local hardware/garden shop, less than $20. It does have a strong odor at first but fades by the end of the day. Good luck ... View related article. |

| RE: Storing Window Blind Cords |
I use little tiny "hair claws". They are available at most Dollar Stores and flea markets. I roll up the cord and pinch it together with the claw (on one side of the loop) up high enough where you don't have to look at it if you don't want to. Usually I just pinch it to the curtain. VOILA! out of sight until I need to unclip it to lower the blind. Slightly larger "mini claws" work for the phone cord on my desk, extra lengths of lamps cords, etc. The teeny claws come in all kinds of cute figures. (you have seen them holding up tender plant stems, such as orchids). P.S. On other windows I've simply stuck a clear or white(or your choice of color) push-pin out of sight up high next to the molding and loop the extra cord over that. ... View related article. |

| RE: Removing Large Mirrors from a Wall |
|
We had a wall of mirrors in our foyer when we bought the house. One contractor said use piano wire to slip behind the mirror and sort of "floss" it off (if we wanted them in whole) Ultimately what he did was to place long strips of masking tape all over it, and broke it up, letting it land on a heavy duty drop cloth on the floor below. Good luck ... View related article. |

| RE: Electrical Outlets Stopped Working |
By coincidence, I just paid an electrican $18(CORRECTION $81) per hour to diagnose and fix the same problem - all of a sudden various switches and outlets stopped, went dead. None of the breaker switches were tripped. The problem? Somebody in the past had changed a particular outlet and when installing the new one did not strip off enough insulation. Thus, there was intermittent contact, which finally caused a complete circuit to go. The TV that had been plugged into it still worked but the next outlet in line didn't and half of the outlets and switches in another room were out, too. The scary part is we've always had a TV plugged in there and never had a problem in 21 yrs. Our good electrician took some time to figure out the problem. He found the problem by wiggling the plug, besides doing all the normal tests. We are handy around the house but would never have figured that one, as we never fool with the plug behind a large TV, it stays plugged in all the time. Bite the bullet and get a pro. You'll rest easier. ... View related article. |
