This is going to sound crazy but it works wonders and is very cheap! Take a aluminum pie pan (dollar store) and fill it with lemon dish soap. Place it on the carpet and shine a light it in. You can use a desk lamp or something similar. Keep overnight, in the morning you will see lots of fleas in the soap. I have used this myself, takes about a week, then no more fleas! ...
