RE: Cleaning Walls and Hard Surfaces After a Fire
Get a gallon of Krud Kutter at Lowe's for about $11. Follow the directions [I had 2 large buckets - one with partially diluted Krud Kutter, the other clean water, and I used old face cloths to wash wall covered in soot] Start at the bottom of the wall and wash section of wall with soapy mix, wait 2-3 minutes, then rinse with clean water. Do not let any of the soapy mix fall on your wood floor, as it will remove the finish! ... View related article.

RE: Looking For A Dameranian
Why would anyone want a half-breed [we used to call them 'mutts'] and not know the temperaments of the parents? So many dogs have been 'given-up' and are in shelters. I have gone from my 4 up to 9 dogs this month. Each 'new' dog is so loving and wants to please. They all have nice soft polar fleece beds, daily meals, grooming, and all the love I can give them. ... Reapply every 4-6 weeks. Won't hurt any animals. I do this to my dogs' pen monthly to keep anything from growing there. ... View related article.

RE: Dog is Lethargic After Using Frontline
I also use it and on the advice of a Shih Tzu breeder and friend, I remove the liquid in the little pocket by using a syringe and put one drop at a time on each dog til it is all gone. Haven't had any problem for years [hope this doesn't jinx them]. Think about it - one of those little 'pockets' of medication used on 4 dogs! Certainly not the was it is directed to be used. but still works! ... View related article.

RE: Squirrels Eating from Bird Feeders
The bird feeders that were suspended on metal poles were a challenge to the squirrels, so I 'greased' the pole with automotive grease, a good thick coat. Boy were they surprised that they couldn't climb up any more! Did this for a week and then just put thin stripes about every 12" up the pole. Took about a week, but they disappeared from my yard and are now in my neighbor's yard. ... View related article.
