I had a problem with one of my German Shepherds. His ears kept being bitten. I went to the pet store and I was recommended a spray repellent wich is actually used for horses, but it works wonderfully. I am in Australia but you would certainly have the same thing in the US. In the summer, which we are almost in here in Aus, I never let them out at night without it, because the mosquitoes here can cause Ross River Virus, and other nasty diseases. And I have such a phobia about flies annoying my dogs anyway, this spray is invaluable for keeping them away in summer. I tried citronella but it didn't seem to work as well as this spray. ... I like the sound of this recipe, and it certainly is easy. I just don't know what Bisquick is, we don't have it in Australia. Could someone tell me if there may be something similar here? ... View related article.
That sounds like a very good idea and a great way to save money. I have never heard of a clothing exchange party before, but I am in Australia so I guess it hasn't caught on here yet. My husband is from Ghana in West Africa, so my sister and I have been bundling up the clothes we rarely wear (in her case, she has NEVER worn some of the clothes she sends) and I send them all to his family. It is amazing how many families the clothes get distributed to and they just love receiving them. ... View related article.
That sounds like a really good idea. I'm in Australia and I live in a small town of only 1500 people but I have joined the "Friends of the Zoo" (also known as FOTZ) in Melbourne, which is about 80kms away and that means I can go to the zoo as many times as I like through the year, and can also be admitted free to other zoos around the place. There is a wonderful open range zoo just near me which I like to visit. There is a great science museum but it's a long way from my town. But science museums are fascinating places, aren't they, Sarah? ... View related article.
Having been a German Shepherd owner for years, I would have to say his Dad is a German Shepherd. I have one with exactly same colours and markings, and she was imported from Germany and has a pedigree a mile long, so we know she is purebred German Shepherd, and this one looks so much like my Delilah. My two dogs are long haired German Shepherds and this one of yours look like he is also going to be the long haired variety. Be prepared to be vacuuming the house every day when he starts to shed fur!
No matter what breed his father was, he is the cutest thing and so beautiful. You are so lucky to have him, and he will give you nothing but love and loyalty.
I have always had German Shepherds, and only females which I have desexed. (I have two which are spoiled rotten at the moment). I have never heard of this happening with any of my dogs, and they would rather burst than pee where they sleep, and certainly not on my bed. Mine will wait alnight if they need to rather than do that. I would definitely take your dog to the vet, it maybe something that can be fixed with simple medication. ... View related article.
I remember that in the 70s, here in Australia, both my sister and I both bought a set of Renaware which I presume was from the United States. I know it cost the earth and I never did work out how to use it properly; either that or I was just too impatient to persist! So it finished up being used like a normal cookware set! I know the company is still going because they tried to sell me ANOTHER ONE not too long ago! ... View related article.
