RE: National Benefits Advisory Association Reviews
Responding to most of the people here that have posted you don't know what you are talking about. Be an informed consumer. Don't be mislead. If you have doubts about anything don't join and don't give them your credit card or banking information! People have left the main number for NBAA Customer Service several times and they have a very accessable website. They are not health insurance. They state this over and over. As several people have written True health insurance is not cheap. You pay for all the bells and whistles of having health insurance. Not everyone can afford this cost. So getting a discount on services which NBAA does is better than nothing. You have to do the legwork and that is what NBAA Customer Service is there for.

Secondly if you are shopping for insurance on the internet and leave your name and phone number, etc. Guess what... You are going to get bombarded by calls. That is what sales people do. Your name is sold over and over by other companies who gather up this information and then sell it to numerous companies. The salesperson makes a living by sales and as such some are very aggressive. So to save yourself some grief - go through your local phone directory and call agents. Or talk to a neighbor or friend and have them recommend a local agent. A reputable agent will be more than happy to help you with a quote. There are numerous medical savings plans out there so if you are truly looking for health insurance quit shopping the internet and leaving your name and phone number. You will just end up with the same type of sales people contacting you.

As far as the nonrefundable administrative fee, all of you that have complained were no doubt told about this upfront. You agreed to it during the sales as verified by the tape recording that companies like these make to protect themselves. They tell you upfront that they are recording you. Do you complainers not listen? The nonrefundable fee is used to set up your account and pay all the providers for their services on your behalf. In summary, you as the consumer must do your homework. If you have any doubts about anything Do not agree to the sale. Tell them you do not want it. If you do not want to be called again, please contact NBAA Customer Service and they will be happy to talk you off their calling list. As noted above, if you have left your name and phone # you will be contacted by other companies but NBAA will take your name off of their calling list! ... View related article.

RE: National Benefits Advisory Association Reviews
As several people have posted here I want to take a few moments and tell you that despite what the majority of people are saying... NBAA is legitimate however most people don't take the time to follow the instructions provided. They don't want to take responsibility for their own ignorance. If you can't get any other health insurance then this is better than nothing. You do have to follow procedures to get the discounts. You can't just slap down your card at your doctor's office or the hospital and expect a discount. You do have to plan ahead and Galaxy still will negotiate with your doctor or hospital even if they are not in the network. After reading these posts all I can say, is be an informed consumer and do your homework before signing up for anything off of the internet. I personally have used their services and have gotten great service and great discounts but then again, I followed the procedures outlined in the Membership Guide. I hate to see NBAA get a bad rep because people expect it to work like health insurance and it doesn't. If you are shopping around for health insurance expect to get bombarded by calls. This is how that works. If you don't want to be called then don't leave your information on a website. If you are looking for insurance pick up your phone and call agents locally or call a friend or family member who can recommend a good agent. As far as the BBB rating, if you would take the time to look further you will note that all the problems have been resolved satisfactorily. Again, people expect this to be health insurance and it's not. It is a discount medical savings plan. You don't have co-pays and it is not underwritten. Again, if you have an uninsurable condition this is something that you can use to help you pay what you would already be having to pay provided you follow the instructions in the Membership Guide. You do have to call Galaxy and have them negotiate the price of a Doctor's services for example. If the doctor normally charges you 100.00 for an office visit and Galaxy negotiates him down to $ 50.00 then that is a 50% savings. You still have to pay the $ 50.00 but not the $100.00 you would have had to pay. That is where the savings come in! ... View related article.
