RE: Creatively Reusing Chop Sticks
Thanks for posting the photo of the reed diffuser. I think you are right that something that got thin would be better. Maybe a tiny erlenmeyer flask.

This is my project. ... View related article.

RE: Removing CD Scratches With Toothpaste
Interesting idea though. I like to copy CD's onto my computer and then re burn them when they get scratched. this works for some smaller scratches because the computer makes more attempts then the player that has to do it live. ... View related article.

RE: Empty Wine Bottle Gift Ideas
" Take a piece of string or thin cord. Soak it in kerosene, lighter fluid, etc. Tie it around the base of the bottle where you want the cut. Light it. Let it burn for several seconds. Plunge it into a pail of cold water. It will come off right where the string was."

This can be pretty tricky to get a good clean cut especially if you are using wine bottles and not beer bottles. Still it turns out nice. if you are not going to drink out of it and you have a few bottles to play with. Here is a video of me doing it. http://mike-is-bored.blogspot.com/2 ... ng-wine-bottle-with-acetone-and.html

I like that heating element wire idea. I may just have to try that.
